About us - Monaro Special Events committee (SA)

We are a group of South Australian Monaro owners and enthusiasts dedicated to holding the 2026 Monaro Nationals event. Most of us have attended one or more prior events and became inspired to hold one in South Australia when the opportunity was offered to us in 2004, which we did for 2006, and again in 2014. The committee, composed of members mostly from the Monaro Car Club of SA Inc. (but separately incorporated as a not-for-profit body and operating independently of the club), reformed in 2024 and have selected Mount Barker as the ideal place to hold such an event. We also have chosen to theme the event recognising the 50th anniversary of the HX Monaro GTS and LE coupe and also the 25th anniversary of the V2 Monaro coupes, the first time this model has been honoured at a Nationals.

We are all unpaid volunteers working to produce an event which we believe you will enjoy. We aim to provide a professionally held event with high standards of service to all of our stakeholders. Our objective is for everyone to have the best Nationals experience we can provide at a reasonable cost - we have set our sights high but our prices low.
